    Description

    I'm offloading a bunch of guitars and projects due to having way too many and not enough time these days.
    I believe this old Jose Mas Y Mas guitar is from the 50's. The guitar is slightly smaller than a typical full size classical... 13 1/2" lower bout width, 642mm scale length. It is made from all solid woods, solid spruce top, solid Spanish walnut back and sides.
    I'm not sure if the finish has been topped up with something by someone or if it is original as this guitar is glossier than others I've seen / owned from the same era. These guitars make for interesting projects IMO. They were never high end, but the proportions are fine, woods are good, and the guitar was made using traditional Spanish construction.
    This guitar needs a top crack repaired next to the fretboard extension, top center seem separation above and under bridge repaired, bridge re-glued, and back center seem separation glued up at a minimum. I would recommend removing the fretboard extension from the top, and also taking the back off the guitar, then working on everything from inside and gluing everything back together, that way you could ensure everything is proper inside and also set the neck angle of the guitar when gluing the back on with the fretboard extension loose. Fancier versions of these guitars sometimes fetch >k prices so this could be worth working on.
