THIS LISTING IS FOR A GORGEOUS HAND PAINTED ENGLISH PORCELAIN TALL 9" PEDESTAL CAKE/DESSERT STAND WITH FLORAL SWAGS AND GOLD TRIM IN PATTERN # 5089 MADE BY MINTON.
THIS WONDERFUL CAKE STAND HAS A COLORFUL HAND-PAINTED FLORAL SWAG DESIGN AROUND THE OUTER BORDER AND A FLORAL BOUQUET IN THE CENTER. THE OUTSIDE EDGE HAS A GILT DECORATIVE BAND WITH SLIGHTLY SCALLOPED RIM. THE UNDERSIDE OF THE TOP SECTION IS ALSO DECORATED TO MATCH THE TOP WITHOUT THE MOLDED STYLIZED DIAMOND BACKGROUND DESIGN THAT ENCIRCLES BOTH THE PLATE AND PEDESTAL BASE.
THE PEDESTAL BASE HAS THE SAME DESIGN AND DECORATION AS THE PLATE AREA.
THIS LOVELY CAKE STAND IS IN EXCELLENT ESTATE CONDITION WITH NO SCRATCHES, CHIPS, CRACKS OR REPAIRS. THE PAINTED DESIGN IS BRIGHT AND THERE IS NO NOTED WEAR TO THE GILDING.
MEASURES 4 7/8" HIGH, 9" IN DIAMETER (AT TOP) AND HAS A 4 1/4" DIAMETER PEDESTAL BASE. WEIGHS 1.6 POUNDS.
MARKED ON BASE OF PEDESTAL WITH THE TRADEMARK STAMP OF THE MINTON COMPANY WITH THE RETAILER'S STAMP FOR JOHN MORTLOCK, LONDON. THIS DESIGN WAS MADE TO BE RETAILED EXCLUSIVELY BY THE JOHN MORTLOCK COMPANY OF LONDON, ENGLAND.
