Antique Minton Plate, Robin Redbreast Bird

CONDITION:  Light surface wear.
This porcelain plate was produced in England by Minton before 1850. It is unmarked.  The plate measures 9 1/4 inches in diameter.  It is molded around the border with a high relief pattern mimicking reticulation but it is not cut through.  It resembles some kind of fence, colored with apple green enamel and gilded accents. There are 3 reserves within this pattern, filled with delicately hand painted flowers.  They are framed with a molded relief border accented with elegant gilding.  The center of the plate has your garden variety robin redbreast bird standing on a tuft of grass.  C440a
