c1900-1925 Superb set 8 Tiffany & Co White Gilt Mintons Dinner Plates

Description

Presented is a superb quality set of 8 white and gilt dinner plates, made by
Mintons and retailed by Tiffany & Co. These plates date to the first quarter
of the 1900s. The plates are white with incredibly detailed and ornate gilt
decoration, featuring intricate swags, medallions, scrollwork and beading in
both matte texture and bright finish gold. The plates have a subtle scalloped
design to their edge, which is very refined and elegant.
Each plate is signed on the underside with the Mintons mark as well as
Tiffany & Co.
This set is in great condition. The gilding is in great shape. Of the 8 plates in this set, two of
the plates have some very minor crazing around the edges, but this is not very
noticeable and they still ring nicely. There are no breaks, no chips, no cracks,
and no repairs.
We are including with this set a ninth plate, which has a
hairline crack and some crazing, but is still suitable for gentle use or as a
display or cabinet piece. This plate is a free, bonus item and does not reflect
on the price or value of the set of 8. If you do not want this piece, let us
know and we will not ship it.
