    Description

Absolutely adorable peasant girl doll, Bridget, from the "IRISH LITTLE PEOPLE" collection from SI-OG. They are made in Limerick, Ireland. Bridget has green eyes, a mop of wild red hair, a riot of freckles, and looks a lot like young Merida of "Brave." She's approx. 9-1/2" tall and wearing a really charming outfit reminiscent of peasant Medieval garb. Si-Og takes great care with authenticity of their costumes, thus they look very homespun, and all are handmade by the Irish craftspeople. Bridget has a split overdress on top of a tunic, and pantaloons --- all look to be made of linen. Her face, hands, and boots are porcelain, and her body is cloth. Si-Og says their dolls are "not toys," and this should be considered for display only (she needs a doll stand or other support). Excellent condition, but missing her hat and stand. Nice way to celebrate one's Celtic heritage, as the Bridget doll is not tarted-up or clothed in silly princess satins and spangles. From smoke-free home. Thanks for looking.
