    Description

This is a Tama Model 3550 Classical Guitar made in Japan around 1974. Tama is a large Japanese musical instruments company that eventually became known for its Ibanez line of guitars. The top is solid cedar and back and sides are rosewood, possibly Brazilian, but I'm not certain. The neck is mahogany and the fingerboard and bridge are rosewood. Scale is 660mm but I find it easy to play. It looks to be expertly made and the headstock bears a striking resemblance to Kohno models, perhaps a tipoff to the maker's inspiration.
This is a one-owner instrument. An elderly gentleman brought it in to the shop I bought it from after obtaining it more than 40 years ago. It was stored in a cardboard box and has no major scratches but you can see where the finish on the back rubbed inside the box. It does not appear to have been played much if at all. I put on a set of Aquila Alchemia normal strings.
Sound is even and clear. After the strings settled its beautiful voice and volume began to emerge. I expect this to improve the more it's played.
I've seen these go for more than 00.00 in not perfect condition but I am hoping for a quick sale.
The string height at 12th fret is 3.0 on the 1st string side and 3.5 on the 6th.
It will be wrapped in bubble wrap and securely boxed, or if you wish I can place it in an old Yamaha guitar case with no handle and it will be securely boxed for shipping.
